Study this Book................Continually

Greetings in Jesus, fellow pilgrims.

I have been thinking this morning about something we read some days ago, actually back on April 10th. I have heard it said that the Bible its self actually does not give specific instruction on having a daily time in the Word of God. The Holy Spirit has indeed given some instruction in this area through the living Word:

"Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Mediate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do." Joshua 1:7-9 NLT

I believe the principle is sound, and caries with it a tremendous promise - one I think we all want to be recipients of??

May the Lord indeed bless you as you study and mediate on His Living Word!
Pastor Paul

  1. I am very blessed when I am reading from Psalm 108 but especially the verses3-6--"I will thank you, Lord, in fromt of all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations. 4) "For your unfailing love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. 5) Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens, May your glory shine over all the earth. 6) Use your strong right arm to save me, and rescue your beloved people.

God knows just what we need and when. Praise His Holy Name!!! I love Him, Ella

  2. I''m not sure anyone reads these, but here goes----From today's reading--Psa. 141:3,4--Take control of what I say, O Lord, and keep my lips sealed. 4.don't let me lust for evil things; don't let me participate in acts of wickedness. Don't let me share in the delicacies of those who do evil.

For years, every so often, the Lord would give me this verse: Set a watch over my mouth, and keep the door of my lips.KJV If I keep quiet more, maybe Don would already have Jesus in his heart. but I don't know but you know thoughts that come and go, leaving me feeling not so spiritual. But God is merciful toward me, Praise His Name. I love Him.

  3. The name of the LORD is a strong tower, the righeous run to it and are safe. KJV "The name of the LORD is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe. NLT
A good reminder of God's love, mercy, and care for me in all I do. Praise the LORD! HE is good.

  4. I'm so sorry for how I wrote one of the comments. The Lord reminds me through Matt. 7:1--Judge not lest ye be judged. I know I make so many mistakes that I have to ask the Lord's forgiveness for, so I am sorry for how I wrote. Ella
